We’ve got a brand new partner spotlight on Sketch Club!
Sketch Club is a full featured art application and online community for the iPad and iPhone. Artists can create anything from quick sketches to finished artworks using digital brushes, layers, and filters.
Sketch Club has thousands of built in and community brushes plus a unique set of procedural drawing tools which are well suited to creating compelling results quickly and easily on a mobile device.
Adobe Creative SDK Integration
Sketch Club integrated the Creative SDK to enable users to better connect to Adobe Creative Cloud tools within their own app. They integrated the Content Management component to give users the ability to import their assets from Creative Cloud into Sketch Club layers, which they can then further edit within the app. Even content from Illustrator and Photoshop files can be imported!
To allow users to import from Creative Cloud, the Sketch Club team used the Creative SDK’s Asset Browser UI, which also features a PSD Extraction tool that qwallows users to select which layers from a PSD they’d like to import to Sketch Club. PSDs with tons of layers can be hard to import directly to a mobile device, and the PSD Extraction tool gives the user ultimate control.
Now, after editing, users can export their creations and files back to the Creative Cloud so that their content is available to them across their devices. These new abilities combine to make Sketch Club a great mobile complement to art production on the desktop.
We’re happy to announce that Trigraphy is now live in the store with a direct connection to Creative Cloud.
Trigraphy is not your average photo filtering app. Trigraphy goes beyond photo filters and uses generative drawing to turn your photos into digital, abstract art. Trigraphy Effects are clever drawing algorithms that use the information from your image to create a new one. Other tools available to Trigraphy users include presets, texture collections, and blending modes.
There aren’t many limitations for Trigraphy users. With the flat tool, you can add new effect on top of the initial result. In combination with the masking brush this gives you virtually unlimited combinations.
The Trigraphy experience also caters to the more serious creative type that wants to do more with their work after leaving the app. Users can export their work up to 4096 x 4096. This is perfect if you are a professional or you want to print your Trigraphy without losing quality.
Adobe Creative SDK Integration
Trigraphy’s recent release, version 2.2.2, includes an integration of the Creative SDK so users have even more creative options when they are done with their work in Trigraphy.
The Trigraphy team utilized the Creative SDK’s Content Management component to allow users to save their Trigraphy creations to Creative Cloud. This way users will have easy access to their Trigraphy creations when using desktop tools like Photoshop CC and Illustrator CC, as well as mobile apps like Photoshop Sketch and Comp CC. Trigraphy users that save their work to Creative Cloud will also be able to access those creations in other partner apps that are Creative Cloud Connected using the Creative SDK.
To connect Trigraphy directly to Photoshop CC on the desktop, Trigraphy also integrated the Creative SDK’s Send to Desktop API. Trigraphy users that want to immediately continue working on the desktop can now send their work to Photoshop CC.
See how the Creative SDK can enhance your app in just a few lines of code!
The Creative SDK team is excited to announce a new integration of our Web beta SDK. Cacoo, made by Nulab Inc., is one of the first web apps to go live with the beta of the new Creative SDK Asset Browser UI component for Web.
Let’s have a look at how Cacoo integrates the Creative SDK Asset Browser UI component to offer Cacoo users access to their Creative Cloud assets directly from within the app.
(If you want to add the Asset Browser to your Web app, sign up for the beta program here!)
Cacoo is an online diagramming tool that simplifies and enhances visual communication. It takes collaboration to the next level by allowing team members to edit the same diagram simultaneously, while discussing changes in real-time using its in-app messaging system.
Over 2 million users around the world use Cacoo as their online diagramming software for creating wireframes, flowcharts, mind maps, UML models, network diagrams, sitemaps and more.
About the Asset Browser UI component
One feature of the Creative SDK is the Asset Browser UI component, which lets your users browse and interact with the assets they have stored in the Creative Cloud, right from within your app:
Our iOS and Android SDKs already offer this component, and we are now rolling out a beta of the Asset Browser for Web to select partner developers. Cacoo is among the first to go live with the Asset Browser.
Cacoo’s Asset Browser integration
With the new Asset Browser integration, Cacoo users can now browse their Creative Cloud assets directly from within Cacoo. Users can then select the Creative Cloud image assets that they want to add to their Cacoo diagramming project.
From there, Cacoo users can interact with the imported Creative Cloud asset just like any other image asset uploaded to Cacoo.
This short screencast demonstrates the simple and seamless user workflow:

One of the biggest problems creatives encounter when working in teams is the difficulty of translating many opinions and continuous edits across numerous files, versions and revisions. Enterprise chat apps have helped by enabling a flow of communication and feedback, but most aren’t optimized for the more nuanced visual projects of creative professionals.
HipChat, a premier social enterprise chat application, recently integrated our popular Creative SDK Image Editing component using their Connect API to address this issue for their users. You can read more about HipChat’s easy experience integrating the Creative SDK here. Now, HipChat users can access an Image Editor, powered by the Creative SDK, for free in the HipChat marketplace. The implementation gives creatives using HipChat the opportunity to add powerful, full-featured image editing tools directly to their team chat room with a click of a button.
The Image Editor implementation is particularly exciting as it uses HipChat’s Connect API. The HipChat Connect API allows developers to build apps on top of the HipChat platform, giving HipChat users access to a plethora of tools without having to leave their chat room. In conjunction with the Creative SDK, it opens up endless opportunities for developers to build new solutions for creative customers that are in sync with changes happening in the HipChat conversation. HipChat used the Connect API to bring the Image Editor to their users to make collaboration a more versatile experience no matter where users are in the creative process.
Being able to edit the image in the context of a conversation without opening up a new browser reduces the context switching that interrupts a designer’s flow and is a great example of the seamless creative workflows Adobe is committed to delivering. The Image Editor is one new feature that users can now enjoy and we’re excited to see other tools become available to HipChat customers via the Connect API.
HipChat users can also look forward to more creative tools coming to the marketplace from our recently announced Creative SDK web components (currently in beta) to create an even richer Creative Cloud experience within their chat rooms. It’s crucial that users have easy access to creative assets no matter where they are in the creative process. The Creative SDK makes content easily accessible through the File Access API and Asset Browser UI components. These components allow developers to add access to Creative Cloud files and libraries right in their apps, so creatives can find all their content no matter the app they’re in or the device or product used to create the assets. Soon, HipChat will be bringing this functionality to creative users to make the communication and creative process even smoother – all powered by the Adobe Creative SDK and built and distributed with the HipChat Connect API.
As you can see, there’s a lot to be excited about in our partnership with HipChat. API frameworks are crucial when connecting rich and immersive tools, like Adobe Creative Cloud, for real-time collaboration. The HipChat Connect API and the Creative SDK let you connect the richest aspects of Creative Cloud into team chat rooms. It’s the future of creative workflows and we’re thrilled to be a part of it.
We wanted to dive into the end user journey with the Creative SDK on the blog today. One of our fantastic partners, infltr, launched the newest version of their app last month which we featured here. They also wrote a great article on bridging the creative gap between mobile and desktop – something we’re passionate about here at Adobe. infltr featured an interview with Luna Margherita Cardilli, co-founder of creative agency Black Fish Tank, and explored how infltr’s integration of the Creative SDK enabled her to have a more seamless creative workflow between her mobile and desktop tools.
